UPDATE April 6, 2022

The Lancaster City Bureau of Police continue to seek public assistance in identifying the suspect associated with the listed Indecent Exposure. 

SUSPECT DESCRIPTION:

40-50 year old white male, partially bald, big stomach and wearing nothing but a mask.

Recent Incident:

On the 4 April, 2022 at approximately 5:50 A.M., the suspect approached two females in the 300 block of College Ave., while completely naked and wearing a mask on his face.  The suspect made inappropriate comments to the the victims before fleeing in an unknown direction.  

Police are asking for anyone with cameras or who may have seen something suspicious to contact Lt. Randell Zook at (717) 735-3322 or via email at zookr@lancasterpolice.com. The public is also encouraged to call 911 regarding suspicious activity in progress.

The Lancaster City Bureau of Police is asking for assistance with identifying an unknown naked male(s) suspect who is approaching females in the northwest area of the city. The reported incidents occurred on the following dates: 

October 6, 2021 approximately 6:00 AM- Report of a middle aged white male jogging naked at Ross Street and State Street. Male was wearing sneakers and a “pandemic style” mask. The suspect approached a female and made an inappropriate comment and continued running.

October 25, 2021 approximately 9:45 PM- Area of 500 W. James Street. A naked white male, approximately 5’10” tall, late 20-30 years old, short brown hair approached the victim. The victim did not hear the suspect make any comments.

October 25, 2021 approximately 10:00 PM- Area of 523-527 W James Street. A naked Middle aged white male (described by victim as 5’5’’ tall and heavy set) approached from the area of 527 W. James Street and made an inappropriate comment to the female. The victim ignored him and continued walking.

November 10, 2021 approximately 9:00 PM- Area of  500 W. James Street. A naked white male, approximately 20-30 years old, 5’10 tall, medium build, brown hair approached the female victim and made an inappropriate comment to the female.

November 10, 2021 approximately 10:30 PM-Area of Race Ave and Ross Street. A naked white male, approximately 20-30 years old, 5’10” tall, average to thin build, dark blonde or brown hair approached the female victims. The females ran from the male and reported the incident to Franklin and Marshall Public Safety.

Lancaster Police, Manheim Township Police, and Franklin and Marshall Public Safety have investigated these incidents to include checking for surveillance footage, checking the area for suspects(s) and at this time have not been able to locate a suspect. The investigation is ongoing.

If anyone is aware of other incidents that have not yet been reported or anyone who may have information regarding potential suspect(s) please contact Lt. Randell Zook at (717) 735-3322 or via email at zookr@lancasterpolice.com. At this time the suspect has not made physical contact with any of the victims. These incidents are a reminder for everyone while walking in public spaces to do the following:

• If possible travel in groups.
• Be alert and aware of your surroundings (DO NOT text/surf the internet on your phone while walking)
• Project confidence (chin up, eyes forward, steady pace)
• If walking at night stay in well-lit areas.
• Carry some type of legal self-defense tool (pepper spray, personal alarm etc.)
• If traveling alone notify someone else of your plans and route.
• If confronted, harassed or attacked, escape is usually the best option. Scream and run when possible.
• If all else fails fight as hard as you can and be as loud as possible. This is not the time to be timid.
