On 11 August 2021 at around 8:51 am patrol officers from the Lancaster City Bureau of Police responded to an address on the 200 block of W. Strawberry St. to check on the welfare of a person. Officers discovered a body while checking the location. Detectives from the Bureau's Criminal Investigative Division responded to the scene to gather evidence and attempt to speak with persons in the neighborhood. Detectives are still on scene and traffic is being diverted for a period of time. The investigation is active and ongoing.
