On Sunday, October 18, 2026, at approximately 5:45 p.m., officers with the Lancaster City Bureau of Police were dispatched to the area of S. West End Avenue and Columbia Avenue for a reported shooting. Officers arrived at the scene to find one individual, a 19-year-old, with gunshot wounds. The individual was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is in serious but stable condition.

There is no ongoing threat to the public at this time.
