On March 18, 2021, at 6:56 pm, EMS was dispatched to the area of 33 New Dorwart Street for a male down on the sidewalk.   The male was found lying on the sidewalk and unconscious.   He was found laying there by a neighbor who did not see what happened.   The man was transported to Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital, where he was treated for severe head injuries.   After several days, the man who has been identified as a 61 year-old resident of Lancaster City, succumb to his injuries and died.   The cause and circumstances that led to the man's injuries were uncertain, but remain under investigation.   

Lancaster City Police Detectives have been reviewing video footage from around the area, conducting interviews and gathering information to determine how the man was injured.  The investigation is on-going, but investigators are seeking help from the public to determine what happened to the injured man.
