On Saturday, May 9, 2026, at approximately 9:32 p.m., officers from the Lancaster City Bureau of Police responded to the first block of East Liberty Street for a report of shots fired.  Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was provided medical treatment, and the injury is not believed to be life-threatening.  As a result of the investigation, the first block of East Liberty Street between Queen and Christian streets is currently closed to traffic. 

This remains an active investigation. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact the Lancaster City Bureau of Police at 717-735-3300 or submit an anonymous tip through Crimewatch.
