On Saturday, April 18, 2026, Lancaster City Police received a call for service regarding a hit and run in the area of W. King St and Marion St. crosswalk. An adult male suspect was riding an E-Bike the wrong way down W. King St. and struck a pedestrian. The suspect subsequently fell off the bike and possibly on top of the victim, then got back on the bike and fled without notifying any emergency services. The rider was last seen riding down S. Water St. wearing a dark colored red hat, jacket, and dark colored pants. We believe the suspect to be a male, possibly around 18-25 years old.
The victim, an adult female, sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The victim’s status is currently unknown at this time. The rider in this incident will be charged with an accident involving death or personal injury once caught.
