On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, Lancaster City police officers responded to a shooting on the 200 block of Strawberry St around 3 pm. Today, October 10, 2025, Jay-quan Williams, 16 years old, was arrested and charged as an adult in connection with this incident by the Lancaster City Bureau of Police. Williams faces charges of (1) count Criminal Attempt Homicide, (2) counts of Aggravated Assault, (1) count Recklessly Endangering Another Person, (1) count of Possession of a Firearm by a Minor, (1) Carrying a Firearm Without a License, and (1) count Person not to Possess a Firearm.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
