On Tuesday September 3, 2019 at approximately 1717 hrs. Officers from Lancaster Bureau of Police stopped a silver Buick for an equipment violation. The front seat passenger, identified as Carmelo Ruhl-Marrero M/22 was found to have a semi-automatic handgun concealed in the waistband of his pants.
Ruhl-Marrero does not have a permit to carry a firearm in concealed fashion. The firearm was seized and Ruhl-Marrero was taken to the station for processing.
Off. Hagy filed a Criminal Complaint against Ruhl-Marrero, charging him with Firearms Not To Be Carried Without a License (M1). Ruhl-Marrero was later arraigned on the complaint. Bail was set at $25,000 (unsecured).
All persons accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
