In the past two weeks, the Elizabethtown Police Department welcomed two more new additions to Team EPD!  On Tuesday, 9/7/21, Mayor Chuck Mummert was on hand to administer the Oath of Office to Officer Wade Gernert in front of his loved ones and other members of the Team.  Officer Gernert comes to us directly from his graduation from the HACC Police Academy, but with prior experience from working in the probation and parole field in Dauphin County. 

On Monday, 9/13/21, Mayor Chuck Mummert was on hand to administer the Oath of Office to Officer Elias Lefever in front of his loved ones and other members of the Team.  Officer Lefever comes to us directly from his graduation from the HACC Police Academy, but with a lot of great experience from his time in the United States Military.  

We are excited to add both of these officers' talents and experiences to the wide range of things that we have to offer to the community. When you see Officer Gernert or Officer Lefever on the street with the other EPD Officers, please take a moment to say "Hello!"
