Snow Emergency Declaration Lifted

UPDATE: The Snow Emergency Declaration has been lifted by the Borough…parking may resume as usual.

Elizabethtown Borough has declared a snow emergency effective as of 6:00 am on February 22, 2026 and lasting until 4:00 pm on February 24, 2026, unless otherwise extended by the Borough.

In order to facilitate the movement of traffic and combat the hazards of snow and ice, parking is prohibited on the snow emergency routes in accordance with the Borough Ordinance.

Snow emergency routes within the Borough are:

• The entire length of High Street

• The entire length of Market Street

• College Avenue between Market Street and Spruce Street

• Spruce Street between College Avenue and Willow Street

• Willow Street between Spruce Street and Market Street

While the Snow Emergency Declaration is in effect, the Elizabethtown Police Department is authorized to have vehicles that are parked on snow emergency routes towed at the owner’s expense. To assist with snow removal efforts, residents are encouraged to remove vehicles from all public streets during winter weather conditions. Residents are reminded that snow and/or ice accumulation is to be removed from sidewalks within 12 hours of the end of a winter weather event.

Residents are urged not to travel if at all possible and reminded that reserving parking spaces with chairs or other objects is not permitted.
