This month, we’re proud to shine the spotlight on Officer Doug Jaquith, a dedicated member of the East Lampeter Township Police Department with an impressive 33-year career in law enforcement.
A graduate of Conestoga Valley High School, Officer Jaquith went on to earn a degree in Archaeology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Over the past three decades, Officer Jaquith has worn many hats. He has served as a Patrol Officer, a County Drug Task Force Detective, and a D.A.R.E. Instructor—each role reflecting his versatility and commitment to public service. From police investigations to mentoring young students about making safe and healthy choices, he has made a lasting impact across our community.
When asked what he loves most about his career, Officer Jaquith doesn’t hesitate: it’s the people. He values the opportunity to talk with, learn from, and build relationships with the community members and visitors who make our jurisdiction unique. For him, policing is as much about connection and understanding as it is about service and protection.
Outside of work, Officer Jaquith enjoys collecting and smoking cigars, staying active in his Masonic lodge and clubs, and proudly cheering on his incredibly talented family members in their bowling pursuits. His dedication to family, fellowship, and community mirrors the commitment he brings to his role every day.
Thank you, Officer Jaquith, for 33 years of service, leadership, and connection. We’re grateful to have you as part of our team!
