Employee Spotlight: Officer Nathan Westerman
Officer Nathan Westerman has been a dedicated member of the East Lampeter Township Police Department since 1995, bringing decades of experience and commitment to serving the community. Prior to joining East Lampeter Township, Officer Westerman served as a police officer with Millersville Borough for two years. A Lancaster County native, he graduated from a local high school before attending York College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.
Throughout his distinguished career, Officer Westerman has held several key roles within the department, including Field Training Officer, Firearms Instructor, Officer in Charge, and most recently, Accreditation Manager. In each of these positions, he has demonstrated professionalism, leadership, and a strong dedication to maintaining high standards within the department.
Officer Westerman currently resides in the Lancaster area with his wife, their three children, and two Boston Terriers. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time at the beach and in the mountains, playing soccer, and cheering on his favorite teams—the Liverpool Football Club and the Colorado Buffaloes. Officer Westerman values the variety that police work offers and takes great pride in helping and supporting the East Lampeter Township community he has served for so many years.
