On 9/6/2019 at approximately 12:37 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Lincoln Highway East for a person down along the Conestoga River.  Upon arrival, a male was located on the east bank of the Conestoga River.  The male was determined to be deceased.  Due to the location, Lafayette Fire Company was dispatched to assist in recovering the body.  Police were also assisted by LEMSA and the Lancaster County Coroner's office.  The deceased was identified as David V. Wagner (53 year old male from Pitney Rd. Lancaster, PA).  The circumstances and cause surrounding the death are still under investigation.  Anyone who may have information related to the investigation is requested to contact Det.
