1/24/2020

  1. At 10:20 p.m., police were dispatched for a reckless driver.  Officer’s initiated a traffic stop with said vehicle in the 2400 block of New Holland Pike.  It was determined, the driver (Derek Huskins / 41 year old white male / Narvon) was under the influence and had just struck a passing vehicle and failed to stop to render aid.  Derek was taken into custody and transported to the hospital for a blood draw.  Huskins to be charged with DUI, Accidents Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle and Driving while Operating Privilege is Suspended.
  2. At 10:50 p.m. police responded to the 2500 block of Lincoln Highway East for a weapons offense.  During an investigation it was determined a juvenile was found to be in possession of a stolen .357 magnum pistol.  The juvenile was arrested and transported to the Youth Intervention Center. 

1/25/2020

  1. At 1:30 a.m., police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Harmony Hill Dr. for a domestic offense.  Officers offered a ride to James Boyer (33 year old black male / Lancaster) to remove him from the area.  A search of his person revealed drug paraphernalia and cocaine.  Boyer was arrested for the drug offenses and charges filed.
  2. Update**  Jose Colon-Espada was located and warrant was served**
  3. At 10:00 p.m. police responded to the 400 block of Mount Sidney Rd. for a vehicle accident.  Upon arrival, the operator of the vehicle (Stephen Kautz / 56 year old white male / Lancaster) had walked away from the accident and was located in a neighboring residence.  Police arrested Kautz on suspicion of DUI and later took him to the police station for a breath test.  Stephen Kautz provided a breath sample with results of .276 % BAC.  DUI charges to be filed.
  4. At 9:10 p.m. police initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Brendon Dr. & W. Main Street (Upper Leacock Twp.) for poor driving.  The operator (Melissa Powell / 49 year old white female / Leola) was arrested on suspicion of being DUI.  She was transported to ELTPD where a breath test revealed her BAC to be 0.129 %.  Charges of DUI and traffic summaries to be filed.

1/26/2020

  1. At 4:13 a.m., police observed Sean Williams (29 year old / black male / Lancaster) walking in the 00 block of Greenland Drive on the street.  Contact was made with Sean Williams who was displaying signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance.  Williams was transported to the hospital for evaluation.  Williams to be cited with Public Drunkenness.
  2. At 10:50 a.m., Justin Kahl (31 year old white male / Lancaster) was located and turned over to East Lampeter Township Police Department who was holding a warrant for his arrest related to Forgery charges from an incident which occurred on 12/21/2019 at M&T Bank (2421 Old Philadelphia Pike).  Justin Kahl was turned over to Lancaster County Prison.
