At 12:20 p.m. police responded to Walmart (2034 Lincoln Highway East) for a retail theft.  William Turner (58 year old black male / Lancaster) was observed placing unpaid for merchandise into Walmart plastic bags.  William Turner loaded a shopping cart with $437 worth of merchandise and attempted to exit the store without paying for the items.  William Turner was arrested and charged with Retail Theft.

At 8:20 p.m., police made contact with Brandon Nelson (26 year old white male / Saxonburg, PA) outside the gym entrance to Lancaster Mennonite High School.  Nelson appeared under the influence of an unknown substance and was transported to the hospital for evaluation.  Nelson cited with public drunkenness.

At 10:13 a.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 2200 block for a vehicle violation.  The front seat passenger - Mitchell Christaldi (20 year old white male / Strasburg) lied about his identity due to having warrants.  He was positively identified and taken into custody.  While being transported back to the police station, he attempted to conceal a small bag of methamphetamine in the crack of the seat.  Mitchell Christaldi was turned over to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department on their warrant and is charged with Unsworn Falsification, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Tampering with Evidence.
