At 12:00 am, Monday, 10/26/15, ELTPD responded to a single vehicle accident in the 00 Blk of E. Main St. Leola.   Arriving officers discovered that a vehicle driven by the suspect, Everett JOHNSON, age 23, of Leola, was driving westbound and had veered across the oncoming traffic lane, off the eastbound side of the roadway, then collided into a traffic sign and a fire hydrant before coming to rest.   EVERETT was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and was placed under arrest for DUI.   EVERETT refused breath testing.   DUI and summary traffic charges are pending.
