The East Earl Township Police Department arrested Christopher T. Zweifel of East Earl.  Zweifel is charged with Rape of Child (F1), Statutory Sexual Assault (F1), Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse w/Child (F1), Rape - Forcible Compulsion (F1), IDSI - Person Less Than 16 Years of Age (F1), IDSI - Forcible Compulsion (F1), Sexual Assault (F2), Aggravated Indecent Assault of Child (F1), Aggravated Indecent Assault - Forcible Compulsion (F2), Aggravated Indecent Assault - Victim Less than 13 years of Age (F2), Indecent Assault - Forcible Compulsion (M1), Indecent Assault - Person Less than 13 Years of Age (M1), Corruption of Minors - Defendant Age 18 or Above (F3).  

On June 26, 2024, the East Earl Township Police Department received a report of sexual assault.  It is alleged that around August 2023, Zweifel digitally penetrated the victim.  He was taken into custody on August 5, 2024 at around 9:50 AM.  Zweifel was arraigned by MDJ Jonathan Heisse.  Judge Heisse set Zweifel's bail at $250,000.  Zweifel was unable to post bail.  He was committed to Lancaster County Prison to await future court proceedings.
