On January 8, 2022, West Hempfield Township Police were dispatched to the Lincoln West Apartments for a burglary in progress. Police arrived and found one deceased person who was shot numerous times.  Police interviewed all involved parties and the investigation is ongoing at this time. The name of the deceased is not being released at this time. Police believe this was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public or others in the area at this time.   

West Hempfield Twp. Detectives are working with the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office and further information will be released as the investigation progresses. An autopsy has been scheduled for tomorrow.
