A Lititz man was convicted on two counts of stalking and one count of defiant trespass in Lancaster County Court on February 14.
Thomas Francis Wainman Jr., 52 of the 700 block of Buttonwood Drive, was found guilty by jury of stalking the victims in multiple incidents spanning from May to December 2020.
These incidents included looking into the victims’ windows, following the victims in the community, and shining spotlights into the victims’ house. Following these incidents, Wainman was hired as a UPS driver and intentionally took routes that allowed him access to the victims’ packages.
Wainman delivered the packages to the victim’s house and then sat outside to wait for the victims to get the packages. Once Wainman saw the victims, he sped off.
Assistant District Attorney Janie Swinehart presented evidence and testimony during trial that Wainman was previously restricted from trespassing on the victim’s property and told to have no communication or harassing conduct toward the victims but continued anyway.
Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Officers Corey Twaddell and Christian Bean filed charges.
Sentencing will occur later by Lancaster County Judge David Ashworth.
