An Ephrata man was recently convicted of having over 800 images and 10 videos of child pornography on his cellphone.
A Lancaster County jury convicted 44-year-old Luis E. Soto of four felony counts regarding a Jan. 31, 2017, search that uncovered the images and videos.
Assistant District Attorney Janie Swinehart presented evidence at the four-day trial about the 854 images and 10 videos found by Ephrata police and the Lancaster County Computer Crimes Task Force.
The jury returned its verdict Feb. 15 about 6:15 p.m.
Lancaster County Judge Merrill Spahn Jr., who presided over the trial, will order sentence after a background check is completed in a couple months.
Soto, of East Walnut Street, is at Lancaster County Prison on $50,000 bail.
In all, he was convicted of three counts of sexual abuse of children and a single count of criminal use of a communication facility.
Ephrata police Detective Graeme Quinn filed charges.
