A Salisbury Township man was sentenced to four to eight years in state prison after he pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a woman.
Judge Merrill Spahn sentenced Jose Ramos-Gonzalez, 46, after he pleaded guilty Aug. 31 to two counts of sexual assault and three counts of indecent assault.
Ramos-Gonzalez sexually assaulted the 18-year-old victim at his residence in the 800 block of Pequea Avenue in September 2025.
The victim told police she was spending the night at Ramos-Gonzalez’s residence when he assaulted her. Ramos-Gonzalez continued the assault despite the victim’s attempts to push him off of her and telling him no.
An attorney representing Ramos-Gonzalez told the court he was “very, very sorry” for the situation. Ramos-Gonzalez declined to speak prior to being sentenced when given the opportunity.
As part of his sentence Ramos-Gonzalez will be evaluated to determine if he is a sexually violent predator.
Assistant District Attorney Fritz Haverstick prosecuted the case.
Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Brian McNally filed the charges.
