A Salisbury Township man charged with taking nude photos of a 13-year-old girl and another juvenile and in one instance offering them money will have his case proceed to county court after waiving his preliminary hearing.
Anthony John Valente, 41, waived his preliminary hearing before Judge Clark Bearinger on Aug. 18 on four counts of photographing sexual acts, eight counts of possessing child sexual abuse material, four counts of communicating with a minor for sexual abuse, four counts of corruption of minors and a single count of criminal use of a communication facility.
Valente is accused of sexually abusing the victim at a West Cocalico Township residence between early March and mid-June 2025.
In a forensic interview the victim disclosed that Valente had taken nude pictures of her using a cellphone.
A search of Valente’s then-residence in the 800 block of Skyline Drive uncovered electronics containing nude images and videos of the teen victim and a second juvenile.
Several of the videos depicted the victims exposing themselves to Valente, who could be seen and heard in the recordings. In one of the videos Valente could be heard offering one of the victims cash to expose herself.
Valente remains in Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail.
Ephrata Borough Police Det. Beth Rivera filed the charges.
Assistant District Attorney Fritz Haverstick will prosecute the case.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
