Recovery Day Lancaster returns to Buchanan Park this Saturday, September 17, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The Lancaster County Recovery Alliance hosts the day to promote a celebration of healing and normalizing addiction recovery as a healthy and contributing factor toward a strong community where recovery is the expectation.
Their mission is to make recovery more visible and ultimately make recovery and supports more accessible and sustainable as a public resource.
The day begins with the second annual 5K run and 1-mile walk for recovery at 10 a.m. Sign up here.
The day continues with music and food. Food options include all-you-can-eat Belly’s BBQ or a boxed vegan meal from a local restaurant. Food tickets can be purchased here. The Recovery Rocks concert by Octavia Blues Band begins at 11 a.m.
Free massages, therapeutic movement, and acupuncture will be onsite. There will also be games, activities, a Kids Corner, and more.
