A Martic Township man will serve five years on probation for corruption of a minor, regarding lewd behavior toward a 15-year-old boy.
Karl Allen Weeks is prohibited from having contact with unsupervised minors during the probation term, as ordered by Lancaster County President Judge Dennis Reinaker.
Weeks, 69, recently pleaded no contest to misdemeanor corruption of minors in exchange for the sentence, in accordance with a plea agreement arranged by Assistant District Attorney Samantha Laverty.
Pennsylvania State Police opened an investigation last year after receiving information from Lancaster County Children’s Alliance.
The Alliance interviewed the victim who disclosed Weeks had been asking him “inappropriate questions.”
Weeks, a driver for members of the Plain community, had asked to “fold” the front of the boy’s pants and to see the boy’s genitals. Weeks also photographed the boy with his shirt off, the victim disclosed.
State police Trooper Jonathan Potoka filed charges.
A no contest plea has the same legal ramifications as a guilty plea. By pleading no contact, Weeks does not admit guilt, but concedes there is ample evidence for conviction.
