A Pequea Township man will serve up to 64 years incarceration after being found guilty by a jury of sexually abusing a child numerous times between 2015 and 2019.
On Friday June 25, Judge Donald Totaro sentenced Lisandro Prieto-Sandoval to 17 – 64 years in a state correctional institution on charges of Rape of Child, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Child, Aggravated Indecent Assault, Indecent Assault, Corruption of Minors and Unlawful Contact with a Minor. Between 2015 – 2019, Prieto-Sandoval sexually assaulted the child when he visited her home and at times he was caring for her and her siblings.
Assistant District Attorney Karen Mansfield argued for, and the judge imposed, consecutive sentences as there were different sexual acts perpetrated on the child and the defendant lacked remorse and did not accept responsibility for his actions. The victim and her mother both addressed the Court. The victim stated to the Court that each time he chose to do this to her, it was on purpose and she found it vile. The child’s mother as well as the Court, commended the victim’s strength.
Charges were filed by Sergeant Robert Burger of the Pequea Township Police Department.
