A Delaware County man pled guilty to seven charges March 29 for trafficking an 18-year-old victim after an arrest by the Lancaster County Human Trafficking Task Force in April 2022.
Louis Fountain, 34 of Brookhaven, pled guilty to two counts of trafficking individuals, four counts of promoting prostitution, and one count of living off prostitutes before Lancaster County President Judge David Ashworth.
Judge Ashworth sentenced Fountain to a prison term of one year, 11 months, and eight days plus five years of probation.
Fountain was the first arrest of the Lancaster County Human Trafficking Task Force (HTTF), which began investigating an internet advertisement listing a female available for sex acts in Lancaster in March 2022.
Task Force Detectives communicated with a phone number on the listing and agreed to pay $260 to spend an hour with the female in a Lancaster city hotel.
The Task Force continued to monitor Fountain and he was arrested on April 21, 2022, when he checked into a second Lancaster city hotel with the victim. The defendant stated he met the victim on a dating site and was trying to help the victim be a model.
East Lampeter Township and Lancaster County Human Trafficking Task Force Detective Christopher Jones filed charges.
Assistant District Attorney Fritz Haverstick prosecuted the case.
