A Lancaster County jury convicted a Millersville man of repeatedly exposing his genitals in front of young children following a three-day trial.

The jury found William J. Beck, Jr., of the first block of West Frederick Street, guilty on April 17 of four counts of corruption of minors and one count of indecent exposure.

Beck, 49, repeatedly exposed himself in front of the four children at his then-residence in the 3300 block of Anchor Road in Manor Township between September 2018 and March 2023.

Throughout the trial the victims testified that Beck would often walk around the home wearing an untied robe with no clothes on underneath, exposing himself entirely from the chest down. Other times, victims said, Beck would walk around the house completely naked and, on one occasion, asked the children to hug him.

The sight of Beck’s exposed genitals left one of the victims feeling “disgusted,” she told police in a forensic interview.

On at least one occasion Beck entered the bathroom while one of the victims was bathing, removed his clothes and entered the bathtub with her, she testified.

The jury returned a guilty verdict after less than an hour of deliberation.

Judge Jeffery Wright, who presided over the trial, is scheduled to sentence Beck after the conclusion of a pre-sentence investigation.

Assistant District Attorney Callista Chartier prosecuted the case.

Manor Township Police Officer Colleen Tatara filed the charges.
