A Lancaster County jury convicted a Dauphin County man of sexually assaulting a young girl at an Elizabeth Township home years ago following a three-day trial last week.
The jury found 31-year-old Kyle Andrew Wiebner, of Lower Swatara Township, guilty on May 15 of aggravated indecent assault, communications with a minor, indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age and corruption of minors.
During the trial the now 16-year-old victim testified that Wiebner sexually assaulted her at a residence in the 1300 block of Furnace Hills Pike in Elizabeth Township sometime between 2017 and 2018. The victim would have been between 8 and 9 years old at the time.
In her testimony the victim recounted specific details of Wiebner’s assaults, stating during the trial that the abuse happened “every chance he got.” The victim’s mother also testified, stating that she found TikToks her daughter shared where she about “always feeling dirty.” The abuse was reported after the discovery.
The jury returned a guilty verdict after only about half an hour of deliberation.
Judge Todd Brown, who presided over the trial, is scheduled to sentence Wiebner at a later date.
Assistant District Attorney Fritz Haverstick prosecuted the case.
Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Brian McNally filed the charges.
