A Lancaster man will serve up to 20 years in prison for dealing cocaine and marijuana and having two loaded guns, including a stolen pistol.
Dwayne T. Wright, 40, was convicted at trial in May of felony possession with intent to deliver, felony firearms charges and related offenses regarding a June 12, 2018, traffic stop in Lancaster city.
Lancaster County Judge Jeffery Wright sentenced Wright to 7½ to 20 years in prison.
Assistant District Attorney Barry Goldman countered Dwayne Wright’s claims to be a father by pointing out he was selling drugs, while armed, and has an extensive criminal record dating to 1995.
Wright was driving on a suspended license and wanted for a parole violation when he was stopped.
Police found in the vehicle two pistols with loaded magazines, including one gun reported stolen about two months earlier. Police also found quantities of cocaine and marijuana packaged for sales.
Lancaster city police filed charges.
