A Clay Township man charged with indecent assault of a boy will face the charges in Lancaster County Court, a district judge ordered.
District Judge David Miller ordered 74-year-old Dale Stahl’s case to county court, following Stahl’s waiver of a preliminary hearing Friday.
Stahl is facing five misdemeanors regarding a Sept. 10 incident at Stahl’s property on Forest Hill Road.
Stahl and his attorney appeared in district court to sign paperwork, according to Assistant District Attorney Karen Mansfield, lead prosecutor.
Stahl remains free on $50,000 bail, posted by a bondsman when charges were filed last month.
Stahl is presumed innocent.
Northern Lancaster County Regional police Detective Theresa Stauffer filed charges.
Stahl is charged with touching the boy and having the boy perform a sexual act in his presence.
Stahl had hired the boy for labor on his property.
