A Bainbridge man was sentenced on January 18 in Lancaster County Court after being convicted on charges of terroristic threats, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of a controlled substance, and defiant trespass for an incident occurring in 2019.
Christopher Lee Perhach Jr., 29, was sentenced to the maximum county sentence of 1 year less one day to 2 years less one day to be followed by three years of probation by Lancaster County Judge Thomas Sponaugle after being convicted by a jury in November of 2021.
On September 14, 2019, Mount Joy Borough police were dispatched to a disturbance at the former Watering Trough nightclub at 905 W Main Street. The dispatcher advised that a male was refusing to leave and becoming violent. Workers relayed to police they requested the male leave the business multiple times, but he refused, tried to fight multiple people, and threatened to shoot both a victim and the business.
Police arrived on location and found Perhach in a rear parking lot screaming and tensing his muscles in a fighting stance. Officers were able to take him into custody, when Perhach stated “I’m going to kill you” to the arresting officer.
Upon searching Perhach, police found 88 individual doses of Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD), which was confirmed through a positive lab test. A glass pipe containing marijuana residue was also found.
Assistant District Attorney Janie Swinehart prosecuted the case.
Mount Joy Borough Police Sergeant Scott Drexel filed charges.
