Lancaster city police are asking the public for information related to a shooting on a downtown street that left one man injured.

Officers had been dispatched to the first block of East Liberty Street for a report of shots fired around 9:32 p.m. on May 9, 2026. Upon arriving, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was provided with medical treatment. His injury is not believed to be life-threatening.
