A few safety reminders from our department to ensure a safe and fun evening:
Trick-or-treaters need to see and be seen: Use face makeup instead of masks which can make seeing difficult. Give trick-or-treaters a flashlight to light their way. Add reflective tape to costumes and trick-or-treat bags. If possible, have everyone wear light-colored clothing.
Stay in Groups: Trick-or-treat with friends or family.
Only Visit Well-Lit Houses: Look for houses with porch lights on.
Cross the Street at Marked Crosswalks: Use designated pedestrian crossings.
Be Aware of Your Surroundings: Pay attention to your environment and avoid dark or unfamiliar areas.
Check Candy Before Eating: Inspect treats for any signs of tampering.
