SNOW EMERGENCY

DECLARED

Mayor Dennon has declared a snow emergency for the Borough of Upland beginning on Sunday February 22, 2026 at 6:00 AM thru Monday February 23, 2026 at 8:00 PM.

The Delaware County area is expected to receive snow fall totals of 8-12 inches or more along with strong winds with gust potentially reaching 40 MPH.

As a result of this Emergency Declaration, we are asking the following;

• All non-Essential vehicles remain off the roadways to allow Emergency Vehicles to travel safely.

• If you have a driveway or alternative parking, please remove your parked vehicles from the roads to allow the Highway Department to clear snow effectively.

Please remember that during and immediately following the storm that the following ordinances are in effect and will be enforced as necessary.

• All persons having possession of buildings or grounds abutting on any street in the Borough or, if not, then the owner thereof, shall remove snow from the established sidewalks within 48 hours after the snow has ceased falling and shall spread salt, cinders or ash over ice.

•  Shoveling snow into the streets is strictly prohibited.

• Saving parking spots by placing objects into the roadway is prohibited.

This is going to be an impactful storm for the area.  Please take precautions while shoveling snow.  Take breaks often to prevent injury or illness, remember to check on your elderly neighbors, and be safe.

Emergency Management, Police and Fire Officials will be ready to assist our residents should the need arise.
