On October 02, 2021, Swatara Township Police Officers Lieutenant Krahling and Officer LeCadre had the honor of attending the Greater Harrisburg Area NAACP's 67th Annual Freedom Fund Dinner.  The NAACP's mission is "to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination."

During the dinner Tom Connolly and Dr Roderick Lee were presented the 2021 President's Award.  Dr Nathaniel Gadsden was presented with the Lisa Waller award and Damali Brunson-Murray was presented with the Dr George Love award.  Two local students were presented ACT-SO (Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics) awards.
