During the August 04, 2021 Swatara Township Commissioner meeting, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Jason Lex honored Director Darrell Reider and Patrol Lieutenant Dennis Krahling with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserves Award.
Officer Jason Lex joined the Swatara Township Police Department in 2005. Officer Lex also serves our County in the United States Army Reserves. Officer Lex enlisted in the US Army Reserves in 2002. After raising through the enlisted ranks he applied for, was accepted into and successfully completed the Warrant Officer program.
Officer Lex recommended Director Reider, Lieutenant Krahling and the Swatara Township Police Department to receive this award due to their willingness to work with his schedule to ensure that he has no issues with work while attending his military duties. Officer Lex commented that several times over the last few years his orders for both trainings and deployments have changed often with very short notice and at no instance did he receive unneeded stress from work while he needed to concentrate on his military duties.
Director Reider and the Swatara Township Police Department would like to thank Chief Warrant Officer 2 Jason Lex and the United States Army Reserves for finding us worthy of receiving this honor. We would also like to thank Chief Warrant Officer 2 Lex and all our Officers who served in the United States Armed Forces for their service.
