The Swatara Township Police Department will be participating in the statewide Click It or Ticket Enforcement Mobilization Campaign, which begins today and will run through June 5th.  Our officers will be conducting targeted enforcement details throughout Swatara Township and Paxtang Borough.  These details will focus primarily on seat belt violations for both drivers and passengers.  The leading cause of death for children under the age of 13 is vehicle accidents.  SEAT BELTS DO SAVE LIVES!  The Swatara Police Department wants to remind everyone that buckling up EVERYTIME you get into a vehicle is one of the easiest ways you can protect yourself in the event of a vehicle accident.  Remember, children are always watching what the adults are doing in the car.  More information is caught by children than is taught to children and therefore we should always lead by example.  Be safe everyone and ARRIVE ALIVE!
