Dakota Saunders voluntarily surrendered to the Swatara Police and will be transported to the Dauphin County Booking Center for processing and arraignment. We would like to thank his family for their cooperation in this investigation and his peaceful surrender.
On Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at approximately 10:37 p.m., a Swatara Township Police patrol Sergeant heard gunshots in the 4400 block of Derry Street and upon investigation discovered a gunshot victim on Derry Street. The Sergeant provided tactical emergency casualty care to the victim and summoned additional emergency units to the scene. The victim was transported to a local trauma center and is being treated for multiple gunshot wounds. Swatara Police Detectives conducted the investigation into this incident and determined that twenty-one year old Dakota Saunders, is the person responsible for this shooting. This shooting occurred at the Triple B Bar located at 4401 Derry Street and resulted from an altercation at that establishment. There is an active warrant for Saunder's arrest for charges including Attempted Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Recklessly Endangering Other Persons and Firearm's Act Violations including being a Person Not Permitted to Possess a Firearm.
