July 1, 2026  ARREST MADE:

At approximately 6:00 a.m. Dauphin County 911 received a call reporting that someone fitting the description of the suspect in this homicide was walking on East Park Drive in Lower Paxton Township in the area of the Best Western Hotel. A Swatara Township officer located Esteban VILLEGAS in the 900 block of East Park Drive where he was taken into custody without incident. VILLEGAS was arraigned at the Dauphin County Judicial Center on the charge of Murder of the First Degree and was committed to the Dauphin County Prison without bail pending a preliminary hearing.  

The victim, 67-year-old Connie Pineda was a relative of Esteban VILLEGAS and was pronounced deceased in her residence at the Chestnut Pointe apartment complex. This investigation continues in conjunction with the Dauphin County Coroner's who will be conducting an autopsy at their forensic facility.  

June 30, 2026:

On this date at 8:46 PM, Swatara Township Police were dispatched to the Chestnut Pointe apartment complex located at 3655 Chambers Hill Road for a homicide. As of the time of this report, the investigation is very active. Citizens should be on the lookout for the pictured 28-year-old ESTEBAN PAULINO VILLEGAS, who fled the scene on foot. He is a person of interest in this case and should be considered ARMED AND DANGEROUS; he may be suffering from a mental health issue. He was last seen wearing a white tank top, gray sweat pants, and no shoes. If anyone sees VILLEGAS, please do not approach him, call 911 immediately. Detectives are currently working to locate him.
