Beginning in 2018 the Steelton Borough Police Department dedicated officers to target crimes involving guns, drugs, and violent crimes.  This team is known as “TNT” – Tactical Narcotics Team which has been targeting all levels of criminal activity throughout the borough. Since their inception, “TNT” members have recovered through numerous arrests the following items;

Over $20,000 in cash

Quantity of heroin consistent for sale

Quantity of cocaine consistent for sale

Marijuana packaged consistent for sale

Multiple stolen and unregistered firearms

TNT is dedicated to improving the quality of life in the Borough of Steelton.  This can be accomplished with aggressive and targeted enforcement that comes from community involvement and proper management. Without increasing the budget and putting a financial strain on the borough, officers can focus on problem areas through their own and community intelligence.
