On Monday, May 1, 2023, the Steelton Borough Police Department awarded Officers Michael Smith and Jonathan Santana-Caraballo with Commendation Awards for their efforts during a confrontational situation involving a mental health patient. They went above and beyond the call of duty and we truly appreciate their dedication to protecting our community.
