Mayor Dent's Resignation Gathering

Monday, August 17, 2026, marked the end of Ciera Dent’s tenure as Mayor of the Borough of Steelton. Friends, family, supporters, coworkers, colleagues, and fellow local elected officials gathered at the Steelton Borough Municipal Building to honor her years of dedicated public service.

From strengthening public safety and growing the police department, to spearheading initiatives like the community garden and fridge programs that support families facing food insecurity, Mayor Dent worked hard to leave Steelton stronger. Her commitment to the residents of our borough was clear every step of the way.

Thank you, Mayor Dent, for five years of leadership, heart, and dedication. While this chapter closes, your impact on Steelton will continue to be felt and we know the spirit of service that guided you will keep moving forward.
