COMMUNITY SAFETY NOTIFICATION
The Steelton Borough Police Department would like to make residents aware of recent attempted thefts from motor vehicles that have occurred over the past two evenings in the 200 block through the 600 block of South 2nd Street.
At this time, these incidents appear to involve individual(s) attempting to access unsecured vehicles. We are actively investigating and increasing patrols in the affected area.
Residents are strongly encouraged to take the following precautions:

Always lock your vehicle doors, even when parked at your residence

Remove all valuables from your vehicle or keep them out of plain sight

Avoid leaving keys, wallets, firearms, or electronics inside unattended vehicles

Ensure exterior lighting and cameras around your home are functioning properly
Your vigilance is critical in preventing crime within our community.
If you observe any suspicious activity, please report it immediately.
