On 5-24-2020, Steelton Borough Police were alerted to suspicious activity in the 2400 block of South 4th Street. Officers observed a vehicle speed away from the area after meeting with another individual. The driver then pulled over and took off on foot when officers began to follow. Officers were able to apprehend the individual, later identified as Barry Brown Jr. A search yielded drug paraphernalia consistent with heroin use. Brown Jr. was charged with Flight to Avoid Apprehension, Tamper with or Fabricate Phys Evidence-Alter/Destroy, Possession of Substance/Counterfeit Substance by Unauthorized Person, Possession with Intent to Use Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended/Revoked.
