Middletown Borough Police are now investigating a second occurrence, at a different business, where counterfeit money, namely $100 bills, were utilized to fraudulently purchase items. 

Middletown Borough Police reminds all businesses and organizations within our Borough, to be on the lookout for this type of activity, when conducting transactions, and to take whatever steps are necessary to spot counterfeit monies (i.e. same serial numbers, lack of appropriate water marks, etc.).

Both counterfeit money cases remain open at this time. Both cases involved the use of fraudulent $100 bills.
