On 7/2/2026 the Borough of Middletown has declared a ban on all outdoor burning to include fireworks.  Mayor Lloyd through executive order declared the emergency prohibiting the sale, discharge and use of all consumer and commercial fireworks. The ban also prohibits any and all outside burning activities to include backyard fire pits.  The ban is effective immediately.  This Order does not prohibit the use of above-ground, covered charcoal or gas grills used for food preparation, provided they are in a safe, clear area away from dry vegetation and combustible materials.
