Matthew Scott Mihalov, was arrested on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, for Fleeing and Eluding police, Aggravated Assault against police, Reckless Endangering another person, Resisting arrest , Driving while suspended (DUI related), Driving under the influence, and several traffic offenses. Police were advised of a reckless driver traveling south on Eisenhower Blvd. Traffic violations originated in the area of Lindle Road in Swatara Township. Further information was passed on to area police departments describing the vehicle as a red Cadillac sedan driving very erratically, running red lights, and illegally passing other vehicles. The vehicle was eventually located in the area of the 200 Block of Second Street in Highspire borough with heavy front end damage. Police activated their emergency lights and sirens and the driver, later identified as Mihalov failed to stop, leading police in a vehicle pursuit. During the pursuit, Mihalov intentionally backed into a police car causing considerable damage to that vehicle. Mihalov was taken into custody near his home and it was apparent to officers that he was under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances.
