On 3/29/22 at approximately 2241 hours, Highspire Police were contacted by a large number of residents calling 911 for an adult woman screaming for help on Second St. Police located the woman who reports she was held captive by a man but was able to break free to call for help.
The victim reports she met a man on a dating web site called TAGGED. They talked and chatted socially for a few weeks during the month of March and then decided to meet face to face finally. They met at the perpetrators apartment in Highspire. She was invited into his apartment and things changed dramatically and very quickly. The victim reported the male became hostile and blocked her exit of the apartment. She asked to leave and let her go but the male refused. At one point the male even ripped the stove out of the kitchen wall to aid in blocking the victim’s pathway for escape. The female victim then realizing she was in danger she used a ploy to get the male into the bedroom.
Once the exit became open, the female ran outta the apartment, into her car and drove off with the male chasing her car behind her.
Once she escaped she was able to meet police and took police back to the scene to point out an apartment in the 300 block of Second St area where she was held. While at the apartment police made contact with a male ID as Norbell Lynch. Police recovered the victims cellular phone and her jacket in the apartment and had to climb over the stove that was ripped from the wall. Lynch was arrested and transported to Dauphin County Booking Center. Lynch will face a hearing in the future at MDJ 12-2-02 Kenneth Lenker’s Office.
