On April 21, 2026, police conducted a traffic stop on a white Chevrolet Equinox after observing that the vehicle was being operated on a highway without an illuminated license plate during the hours of darkness.
During the traffic stop, officers made contact with the driver, who was identified as Joseph Wayne Kleinendorst of York, PA. While conducting the roadside investigation, it was determined that Kleinendorst was operating the vehicle while his driver's license was suspended due to a prior DUI-related offense. Further investigation revealed that Kleinendorst had been stopped for the same violation twice previously.
Kleinendorst was subsequently placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle while his driving privileges is suspended for a DUI-related offense, marking his third violation of this nature. As a result, Kleinendorst was charged with a misdemeanor offense for driving while under a DUI-related suspension.
