April 1, 2026: Police received multiple complaints from a Highspire resident, reporting ongoing harassment by communication by 36-year-old Cassandra M. Erdman of Rome, New York. Despite being issued a cease-and-desist notification, Erdman continued to engage in a course of conduct directed at the victim by sending unwanted messages via social media and handwritten letters.

In January 2026, Erdman was previously charged with a summary offense of harassment by communication. Despite this prior charge and formal notice to cease contact, Erdman continued to send repeated, unwanted communications to the victim.

As a result of this ongoing pattern of conduct, Cassandra M. Erdman has been charged with stalking.

All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
